If you have downloaded the tracks to your iOS device, or listened to the tracks on your iOS device there will be a copy on the device so it will stil show up. You should delete all music from the device by going to Settings > General > Usage. Tap Music (you may need to scroll down in the list) and swipe across "all music" then tape DELETE.

Now, why do you want to delete all the music in the cloud?

I'm interested in this same question too. I've spent hours tonight trying to get rid of a few albums I added by mistake. I've tried everyting:

* deleting files and checking the "also remove from icloud" box

* without having a local file, tried to delete from icloud directly

* turned iTunes Match off and back on

all without success. The songs still show up on all other devices. Even worse: as soon as it does an iTunes Match update, all deleted songs are back there in my library.

There has to be a way to remove songs from iTunes Match, there's even instructions on the apple site (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4915), they just don't seem to work.

Wow, thanks a million! This worked.

Looks like the library got screwed up and disabling iTunes Match with the option key pressed forced it to flush the cache or something. After doing this I was able to remove those albums and also edit tags of music that has already been uploaded to iCloud, which is another thing that didn't work before. I just didn't complain about it, because I read somewhere that this was by purpose.

Also, I was thinking of glueing down my option key so it's always pressed. I can't believe how many undocumented features it hides. Want to choose another library for iTunes or iPhoto? Keep alt pressed. Want to delete a song from iTunes while you're in a playlist? Keep alt pressed, and there's many more. Googling for "option key mac hidden features" actually brought up a few more interesting ones.

"Music in the cloud cannot be deleted from the cloud from an iOS device." Oh No! Is that true? If so, I'm screwed.

We have two iPads, two iPhone 5s, Apple TV. We used to have a MacBook and Mac Mini, but I just sold them off - it seemed like I could simplify life a lot by simply doing all I need on iOS and not bothering with having to also be fluent in OS X.

I have 7,000+ tracks up in iTunes Match. Are you saying I can't delete or maintain my library without an OS X machine?
