Q: updated my software now all my devices appearing as new so being asked to answer appleID security questions.  Not accepting my answers

how do I reset my security questions?  Everything offered by "support" that I try first asks for the answers to the security questions.  It's not that I've forgotten the answers, you're just not accepting them as correct.  I can no longer buy from the store.  All my devises, which I've had for years, are now apparently viewed as new.  I hate software updates - they cause these issues
