iPad timeout

The newest iTunes update seems to have broken my ability to sync my iPad.

When I try to put anything on the iPad (manually or syncing), the transfer makes it to a certain point and then the session times out.

After the timeout, iTunes hangs on "Canceling update" and stops responding. I then have to restart my computer to get iTunes to recognize the iPad at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
