Cannot Export Slideshow from iPhoto to iTunes

I am unable to export a slideshow from iPhoto to iTunes. In trying to export this slide show from iPhoto, I selected the Slideshow in the left column, clicked on the export button at the bottom, In the Export window. Next I selected "Large" and checked "Automatically send slideshow to iTunes".

When, after several tries, the QuickTime movie failed to appear in iTunes, I dragged the .mov file from my iPhoto movie folder into the Movies folder in iTunes.

I have an iPad I with iOS 5.1.1. When I try to sync this QuickTime movie to my iPad I get and error message, "Can not be copied because [name of movie] can not be played on this iPad. This movie can be played normally in iTunes.

These are my selections for the Export:

Export is set to "Movie to QuickTime Movies",

This the window I get after I check Large and export:

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion, MacBook Air, IPad v1, Apple TV v2

Try use the m4v version.

I am unable to select any of the slideshows that appear in this window. So I have just click OK.

That's just the window where you choose a destination for the exported file. My point is to try sync an m4v with the iPad and not the mov file.

None of these videos are showing up in iTunes. That is my problem.

Yes, they are all there, but how to I get the slide show to iTunes? The iPhoto export was supposed to export to iTunes.

Will dragging the file into iTunes work and allow my to sync it to my iPad?

Dragging the M4V file into iTunes worked and I was able to syc to my iPad. I still do not understand why the iPhoto export funtion did not export the slideshow into iTune. Note above that I had this option checked.
