Cannot log into filevault user. Sparsebundle missing

Hi guys.

When I try to log in to my username I get the message "You are unable to log in to the FileVault user account "user" at this time. Logging in to the account failed because an error occurred." I created another admin account using root, but I am unable to view the home folder of my locked account under /users. Even in my backups the file and its sparsebundle do not appear

Any way to fix this? 😟

try booting to startup manager (restart holding the option key) and then choosing the mac HD it should then prompt for a filevault password to be entered which should then unlock the drive.

if you are unable to unlock the filevault that is on the HD you will have to take it to ARS so they can unlock it by flashing the logicboard which will erase everything on the HD.
