Q: Delete key is only deleting forward on Apple Wireless Keyboard

I recently got a new Apple Wireless Keyboard.

Eveything functions perfectly but one thing, the Delete key.

For some reason it only deletes forward (right to the cursor), unlike the normal function which should delete backward (left to the cursor). 

As if the fn key is pressed (which is not because I looked for other signs that it might be stuck), so it has nothing to do with the fn,

Anyways, the only way I can delete backward is selecting the text and pressing delete.

Any suggestions?

I'd appreciate any help...
