I recently reinstalled Final Cut Express 4.0 on an iMac running Mountain Lion. Unfortunately, I am are not getting the option to download the Final Cut Express 4.0.1 update via the "Software Update" page. 4.0.1 is essential to work with certain codecs such as AVCHD. Where can I find the update? I am unable to find it in Apple's Support downloads. The only thing available there is an old FCE 2 update. Any ideas?

It could be that your computer or its OS is too new to download a long obsolete app.
If you have access to an older machine you could try installing on that and migrating across ........ though I've no idea whether it would work.

Thanks Ian! I've had the same thought too about the OS version. I currently don't have an older OS to try downloading the update, but that is in my plans. If I have any luck, I'll update it here.
