You'll have to use your original system discs that came with your Mac, install that OS (Probably Snow Leopard) Update SL to 10.6.8 from Software Updates then go to the Mac App Store and upgrade back to Mountain Lion.
Start the system and insert your original OS X reinstall DVD. Reboot the system and hold down the Option/Alt key to get the one time boot selection screen. Select the DVD drive and disc inserted into it. Go through the initial setup questions, Language and whatnot, then select the Utilities menu item and Disk Utility from that list. Partition the drive as one partition with a partition table of GUID, Name the partition Macintosh HD and the format should be Mac Extended (Journaled). Click the Apply button.
Once that is done continue with the SL install and updating.

Get your original Snow leopard install disk out and install Snow leopard on your MBP with the new SSD. Then do a software update so that you have 10.6.8 installed. Go to the App Store and then download Mt Lion. Then transfer your user data to the SSD.
