Q: there is no sim card in the iphone you are trying to activate . HELP

my iphone is an iphone 3g (i think) and it has a sim in but it wont recougnize it and itunes says there is no sim in the iphone you are trying to activate when there is i have tryed blowing it and restarting the phone NOTHING WORKS PLZ HELP ME
