Im not sure what I did but the version of IPhoto is now not compatible with my operating system 10.6.8. I bought a second Air with the latest software and was fooling around on my house network and i think I screwed something up. I don't know how to locate my photos. Thanks

You must have opened the library on the 10.6.8 Mac with the newer iPhoto from the MB Air making it unusable with earlier versions of iPhoto.

Thanks. If I upgrade the operating system on the 10.6.8, will that work? I was thinking of upgrading anyway.
It is the version of iPhoto that counts - not the operating system version that counts (although to upgrade iPhoto you may need to upgrade the OS)

The current version of iPhoto in the App Store is 9.4.3 and requires 10.7.5 or Mt . Lion. If your Macbook Air is a Late 2008 or newer model you can upgrade to Mt. Lion and iPhoto 9.4.3.
