I had no idea the attachment was that large - it was only 3 scanned pages. I have no idea why it was that large. My problem is that now i cannot use mail on my laptop unless I go through safari to aol. Apple mail keeps "recovering" that huge email repeatedly until it times out.
The message I get in Mail Connection Doctor is " Could not connect to this AOL IMAP server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the Use SSL checkbox in the advanced tab of account preferences". I saw that SSL was checked on the main mailbox (the one I sent the huge email from) but was not checked on the secondary mailbox, so i unchecked SSL on the main one. (I don't even know what SSL is or what the implications of that are). Now The Mail connection doctor says "connection and login to server succeded" on both mailboxes, and loggin into account on the problem one. it has been synchronizing for over 15 minutes and so far has "recovered" the huge email 15 times !
I can access email through Apple mail on our desktop computer and my ipod, but not with my laptop (which is the one I sent the huge email from).
How can I fix this problem? I can't believe I am the only one to ever do this!
