I am unable to connect to wi-fi

1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Is this home wifi or public wifi? If public wifi, they often have terms and conditions pages that you have to agree to before you can connect. Sometimes if you open Safari the page will come up, or if you connect and wait for it.

You got it going, so good job.
Anytime your wifi acts up, power cycling/resetting your router is always a good thing to do. Unplugging/replugging allows the device to reset and if anything has gotten glitched inside, the rebooting can help unglitch it.
Almost all public wifi has a terms and conditions page, so if you use that, just bear that in mind.
