Can I connect a Yamaha S90 keyboard to my macbook pro via USB to access Logic's MIDI capabilities?

My Yamaha S90 keyboard has a USB connector. I am guessing that it is only there for updating firmware, but I can't find any references. What I would like to do is use the S90 as a MIDI input device to Logic on the Macbook Pro without having to connect through my AMT8. I am having trouble finding the right drivers to get the AMT8 to talk to Logic on the Macbook Pro. I have been using my old dual processor G5 for recording and sequencing and want to have more portability. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Shouldn't be any need to use the AMT8, if the S90 has USB.

I seriously DOUBT you will need drivers, either.

Just create a new device in Audio Midi Setup, and the next time you open Logic, you should be good to go.

Weird that the AMT8 doesn't seem to be working, but once again, use above info for setting up the AMT8 while in Audio Midi Preferences while you're at it, and then you have BOTH options.
