How do I delete a (standard) user account? PLEASE HELP!!

I made a standard account and realized that i didn't need it, so i wanted to delete but i couldn't. I already went on my admin account, went to system preferences, and unlocked the lock thing on the corner with my password. But I can't click on the standard account I want to delete or the minus sign on the bottom because its grey... Is this suppose to happen?! Is there something wrong with my laptop D: My laptop is pretty new, I got it like 3-4 months ago. I've been trying to look up ways to like fix this but I couldn't find it. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I really want to delete it. Please help! Thank you!

  1. Go to the standard user and click on the apple button on the top
  2. Press the button: Log out.....(the name of your account)
  3. Go to your admin account and then you can delete it.

You might have to turn it into an admin account depending on your type of computer, this is how you do it.

  1. Press the lock button
  2. type your username and password
  3. tap "allow user to administer this computer"
