Sep 8, 2013 3:37 AM in response to dharmaoneby mixvio,You have to do the install from another Windows system. If you have another machine running Windows 8 already that's the easiest route but it's possible to do from Windows 7 as well.

Now that said, while this has worked for me with two different MacBook Airs as well as a 15" Retina MBP, it doesn't work on the 2013 model Airs. I get a bluescreen booting into the drive. There were a lot of initial issues with Bootcamp not working entirely when the Airs first came out and I imagine that these are related, but until Apple fixes the issue I don't know if it will work.

Sep 25, 2013 12:28 AM in response to sajeewavicby dharmaone,Yes managed to get it working - first you need to install windows 8 pro bootcamp, then boot into that and install windows to go on your USB drive from there. I've now got a USB 3.0 stick that has windows on it, I can boot into it from my MBA and Mbp, takes about 15 secs to boot.
