Aug 27, 2013 9:35 AM in response to Rob Di Stasioby MrHoffman,OS X 10.5 is the end of the line for PPC.
For what should work, Apple has OS X 10.4 PPC specs and requirements and OS X 10.5 specs and requirements.
The old installer DVDs are usually system-model-specific, unless you have what's known as a retail disk.
I don't know if the Classic stuff will carry over, and it's been an eon since I've worked on Tiger. Make a backup or two, and preferably to an external storage device. On no evidence, I'd expect to reinstall, but check the release notes and doc for 10.4 or 10.5 or whatever you're deciding to upgrade to.

Aug 27, 2013 10:11 AM in response to Rob Di Stasioby BDAqua,Hi,
10.5 does not support Classic, 10.4 upto 10.4.11 does support classic, but as I recall had a little higher requirements for the OS9 to be at version 9.2.2, so if your Classic is 9.2.2 you'll be fine with 10.4/Tiger.
