My volume indicator keeps appearing on the screen randomly - any ideas on a fix?

Do a reset

Hold home/sleep buttons until Apple logo appears ignoring off slider

I tried that several times before and again today. No luck.

I've gone into settings and switched different settings. No luck there either.

Restore first with back up then as new ....or have you already tried that ?
