having trouble networking my G5 running 10.5 and my G4 running 10.2

I used to be able to connect my machines using my home router/network. I recently updated my G5 from Tiger to Leopard. When i was still running Tiger i had no problem connecting with my network. My G5 still shows up on the G4 but as an allias, and nothing showes up the G5. I am not a networking guy by any means, but i even used to be able to connect to my wife's PC laptop! Am I maybe missing a setting that may have changed with the upgrade? Everything appears to be the same.

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

ok, i have added all of the folders i would like to share in the Shared Folders column. when you say add the panther user to the Users column, do you mean the name of the user account or the name of the computer? It is a very generic process, it is not asking me for an IP address just a name.

Then what do i need to do to get Leopard to see the other computers on my network, currently it doesn't see any of them?

Ah ha!, ok some progress, the G4 is now able to connect to the G5 and i am able to access everything just fine. Now, the only problem is the G5 still doesnt see anything on the network, not the G4 (even with the G4 connected) or the printer, when i go to the network tab in finder, it says it is empty. I am wondering if i am just missing a setting somewhere. When i was still running Tiger on this machine it connected fine, now that i have up graded to Leopard, i see nothing on my home network, yet the Internet works just fine.
