Fan Getting Louder!

Hi all. Real quick question:

I've noticed lately that after my computer has been on for about 10 or 15 minutes, my G5 seems to be getting louder and louder (well louder than its normal quiet self!)

Its not affecting the speed (or anything) of my computer, but its begining to concern me. Anyone know why it would be doing this??

My G5 is almost a year old. Thanks for any help!!

You may need to clean the inside get yourself a can of compressed air and a few anit-static wipes. Blow out the heat sinks and wipe anything non-electrical, including fan blades down with the wipes. You should also investigate all your fans if indeed they are running. If your computer gets to hot it will shut down by itself. I'll try this in the first place.

Thanks for the advice, I'll check that out soon. My G5 DID sit in a storage unit for a few weeks, I'm sure it got a little dusty in there.

Also, I think the main problem is the heat in my actual room. Its HOT here in fairfax, and my roommates and I haven't turned the AC on -- so I think my fans are just trying to compensate for that.

What do you think??
