I have an HP OfficeJetPro 8600 and it works flawlessly. However I am having problems with AT&T U-Verse service which is preventing wireless printing. I disabled wirelss on the HP, and I've connected via a USB, but it still won't print.
You'd think the USB connection would trump everything, but that is not the case.
Suggestions so I can print???

In System Preferences>Fax & Print, Right click or Control+click on the Printers list Sidebar, choose Reset Printing System.
if you hold option and click the "-" tab it resets the printing system.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
Any devices that previously appeared in your Printer List and Fax List will need to be added again after resetting the printing system.

Thanx! I am still stumped as to why my switch to AT&T U-Verse would effect this, but that is another matter!
I suspect a change of IP on the Modem/Router & Primter, Wifi was likelt lookiing for the printer at a diffrent IP{. 🙂
