I recently purchased a MacBook Air to learn how to make iOS apps, so I of coarse installed Xcode. Because my Macbook air is the new 2013 model, it came preinstalled with Mountain Lion, so my question is, where can I find a copy of the Moutain Lion Image for the Window> Organizer> Software Images tab in xcode.

You can't add a OS X image there. If you have a look at the sidebar, you will see your Mac listed, and there's no "Software Images" for it. That means that Software Images are only for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, by adding an iOS upgrade file
