MY MACBOOX AIR HAS BECOME VERY SLOW NEED TO REMOVE FILES HOW TO DO IT?

my macbook air running on mountain lion upgrade OS X 10..8.4 is become too slow have 85% of hard disc filled how do i better the performance.

have losts of pics and some video. the imovies is also slow and i lost some good video clips as i upgraded to the latest version of OS X 10.4


is there any way to speed up the computer?

recover my lost video?

i have a 1TB external ram which i have partitionded 500 for Windows for my desk top and office works and 500 for mac.

15% free disk space is cutting it close. Better to free up more disk space.


have losts of pics and some video.


That's why Apple recommends backing up your important data on a timely basis. You can recover the lost video if you have a backup to restore from.


It's possible the startup disk needs repairing.


Launch Disk Utility located in HD > Applications > Utilities


Select the startup disk on the left then select the First Aid tab.


Click: Verify Disk (notVerify Disk Permissions)


If the disk needs repairing, restart your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk.
