You need a sim in the phone to activate it

Place a sim in the phone and connect it to your computer with iTunes running and follow the activation assistant prompts
i have a sim card present in the phone yet its saying there is no sim card present in the phone you are trying to activate...pls what more can i do? am in Nigeria and i use MTN simcard. pls help
Try a different SIM card.
Odds are your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it and updating has now bricked it.
Where EXACTLY did you get the phone?
