Help iMac M8535 will not boot up!
All i get is a grey screen with Apple icon on it..tried to follow instructions on http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570 but no joy!!!
Ive just come back to the UK after 8 years abroad to find my sister has knackered the iMac I bought her...i was think I could have got some use out of it but no joy help please!!!

nice one...but a bit sceptical about takin it apart as the last thing i took apart was a hp laptop which i managed to knacker by doing so....is it possible to force open the disk tray..used to be able to do it on my g4 tower with a safety pin....!
any suggetions welcomed

That comes back to the order number (not the model) for a G4 iMac, the one with a separate display hanging on an articulated arm sprouting from a white half-dome base. Is that what she has?
