Q: cannot update to 4.3

I just bought a used iPod and I cannot upload anything because it says I need to update to iOS 4.3, but iTunes says that I am up to date at 4.2 =/ I cannot dowload any apps.

    I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
