Q: all pictures are turning red in my library

I've got the same problem(D7000 Nikon & iMac) I found the two core files in the system folder and have downloated the 4.07 Raw file. Do I just toss the two old files and drag the 4.07 version to the same folder?

Yes.  I just did and it works a treat.  Thank you for this solution, a days work can now proceed.

Without deleting the folders the installer will refuse, saying a newer version already exists.

Delete what two folders? The Aperture Raw files being replaced are in the CoreServices folder in System and it contains many other vital files.

Thank you. After recent update to 4.08, I experienced the same "red" issue. Rolling back to 4.07  solved the issue.

It's in this thread, you delete 

/System/Library/CoreServices/RawCamera.bundle

/System/Library/CoreServices/RawCameraSupport.bundle

and then install 4.07. Finished.

That worked, Norbert. I had some difficulty because I first attempted to open System>Library>Core Services and then drag & drop the two files in the trash. The install package repeatedly informed me that 'newer versions' were still on my computer.

Then it dawned on me to go to the Finder icon in the dock and do a search. Sure enough, although I had trashed the two files (drag & drop method), they were indeed still there. I did a right click on the mouse with the two files and they disappeared. No more annoying red.  thanks.

Thanks to Wyatt2, norbertmuc, Thensome, Kirby Krieger, and Frank Caggiono et. al. As it happens I had just updated to 4.08 so your comments worked when I went back to 4.07.  The only thing that remains is the Browser doesn't change and when an image is selected it slowly reverts back to its original state.  this occurs only to the images I opened when it when 4.08 was installed.  Each time I open aperture the image goes back to the God awful state is was with 4.08 but does correct when selected but not in the browser.  Wondering if this is now a permanent state i'm in.  I'm using an iMac by the way.

i am guessing, but if you do a renew of the previews, you should be fine.

Select one of the inages this is happening to, option-click the image and select Reprocess Original from the menu.

Well, sorry that gave the response no images nneeded reprocessing.

In the Browser you are seeing the thumbnails. Try "Photos > Generate Thumbnails" for the images that are still pink and blue.
