Emails not showing up in mail app on my iPad

I just got an iPad mini for school. I set the mail app up to my school email, but not all my emails show up in my inbox. Right now, it's only showing one email. But when I sign in to my email from a browser it's shows all the emails in my inbox. I need to be able to see all my emails, and I don't understand why they are not showing. It just looks like a near empty inbox. Can someone help me?

Try settings>mail, contacts, calendars>mail>show recent messages. Change the number of messages that show and then see if that helps.

Try sending yourself an email and see if that loads the other emails in your inbox.

Also try settings>mail, contacts, calendars>your email account>account>off. Restart the iPad and then go back and turn the account on again. If you have an IMAP account it will be settings>mail, contacts, calendars>your email account>mail>off. Turn it off. Restart the iPad and then go back and turn Mail on again.

Have you tried pulling down on the preview window in the in box in order to refresh the email account?

Close the mail app in the recents tray and then launch it again. If the emails still don't appear, close the app again, reboot the iPad and then launch the mail app again.

To close the mail app - Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner of the mail icon. Tap the home button twice.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
