Q: How do I boot or install Mac OS X 10.4.11?

I have 10.4.11 on disk and copied it to a flash drive, can someone tell me how to boot or install it on to my old iMac 400MHz PPC less than 512 MB SDRAM Computer? Even Ideas Are Ecepted! Please help. I cant install it to the computwer because the slot dvd reader wont work or i'd be fine. Thnx in advance!

You cannot boot that old computer from a USB port, as I recall. But you can try:

Boot Using OPTION key:

1. Restart the computer.
2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
"OPTION" key.
3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
4. Select the flash drive's disk icon.
5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.

Thnx, I did try, so ill have to replace the Disk drive, Darnet.

No, I mean use the Firewire port and a Firewire external drive to boot the old iMac.
