Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
Just new to Mt. Lion. A notification appeared of an email, but when I looked in Mail, it was not there. I don't even know how to find the list of notifications. I can swipe to open it, but that particular one has disappeared. What's happened to my email message? (Yes, Mail has been open throughout this problem.)
Check the junk folder. I had the same issue recently. Interestingly it had been moved there by my other Mac (Air) while power napping.
No junk folder, using Spamsieve. Checked my iMac, not there. Not in the iCloud. Looked like a version of junk mail, a promotion of some kind, the brief glimpse of it I saw.
It may have been removed by the server-side spam filter in iCloud.
I have the same problem. An email notification flashes and then go to Mail and nothing is there. Inbox or junk etc. I had a friend sending me emails from a new account last night and I did not recieve them.
