I have the same problem . A few days ago I got an email on my email address saying that my email address and Apple ID were updated. I've tried to log in right away but no luck . The Apple ID is not the same and the email address is not the same . Apple will send me a recovery email but not into my address any more 😟
Called Apple support and they've asked me the security questions , which of course I cant remember 😟 They said that another solution would be to give them my banking detail . A few months ago I've changed my credit card but haven't updated the details on the Apple ID. So , I told them I will come back with the details . Just before I hanged up they said that they will ban my card from iTunes so nobody could use it anymore.
I spent an hour on the phone with the banck , they gave me the old card details and I called Apple again. Guess what ? They said it is not possible to recover my account by giving the bank details because the card was banned .
So , theyve banned my card without telling me that afterwords it wouldn't be possible to recover your account by giving the bank details .
Now I end up paying 900 $ for an iPhone which I can't use . I was willing to go in an Apple Shop with the receipt and the phone to prove that is my phone . They said it is not possible . I need to know the security questions to unlock my account .
This is the kind of service apple provides : Pay 900$ for a f*** phone and if somebody hackes your account you will endup with a locked phone . Good work Apple , keep up the good work .
