macbook pro 15 early 2011 HDD 3 teras sata 7200rpm

Hello


I have a MacBook Pro 15'' early 2011 with a HDD 750Gb 5400rpm, I wish change the HDD for other with more capacity (1 tera, 2 tera or 3 tera) and hi speed (7200rpm), is it possible? or will I need more that buy the new HDD?

You need a new hard disk if you want 7200 rpm. You can buy a hard disk at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/Search/Search.cfm?Ntk=Primary&Ns=P_Price%7c0&Ne=8056&N =4294967058+4294934584&Ntt=Hitachi+Travelstar+SATA The hard disks of the link are HGST, one of the best brands, but you can also buy a Seagate hard disk.


As you can see, the HGST disk with higher capacity is 1.5 TB, which should be enough

the price and performance are much better. capacity too if you can swing for one up to 1TB


leave the 2TB for USB3


also good idea to leave system drive 50% free and keep all the media and data on another drive anyway


you stumbled into 65lb tower Mac area, not macbook pro or such.
