There appears to be a large increase in this type of problem at this time, it seems that that there is a problem at Apple's end, but I couldn't at all be sure.
There are no issues being reported at Apple’s System Status page, but this status may yet be updated and it may be you need to try again a little later.
This isn't affecting me here in the UK, where exactly are you.
So far I have noted users in the following locations having similar problems:
- USA (including US accounts used in other locations)
If this is a problem at Apple’s end, it rarely happens, however when it does only Apple can fix it. When this has occurred previously it has usually been resolved in a few hours or slightly more.

We were watching television shows yesterday and then today when we put our TV on the Apple mode, the Television ICON was gone. All the other icons are there. My husband got on itunes and the television shows are there, but they are not showing on our apple tv.
I really appreciate you taking the time to help. Hopefully Apple will get it sorted. It has never happened before.

Whilst TV shows and indeed all of the feeds here in the UK to my Apple TV's and indeed my other iOS devices have all been fine, I was myself having a similar issue with the iTunes store in iTunes on my Mac, this now has also been resolved.
I haven't seen any other users from the UK report being affected, are you using a UK account or a US account.
