Time zone adjustment for reminders?

Hi all - am planning to take my iPhone with me to Hawaii in a few weeks from LA. I figure that the phone will use location services or some other method to figure out we're in a different time zone and adjust its clock accordingly. However, I've set up some timed reminders for the days I'll be in Hawaii and would just like to understand, is the phone going to think that it should give me the alerts in LA time, or will it give me alerts in Hawaii time? I.E. if I already created an alert for 8AM one day while I'm there, will I be notified at 8AM Hawaii time, or 8AM LA time?

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time, and turn Set Automatically "On". The time will then be updated to the correct time in the time zone you're in.

Also in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, set Time Zone Support = "Off". Then events will display in the time zone of your current location. So the alert for 8AM Los Angeles time would display at 5AM.

If it were my situation, I would set the settings as I suggested, and set those reminders for 11 AM Los Angeles time (which is 8 AM Hawaii time).

Thanks for the response. Just to be clear - here in LA I've set some reminders for the days I'll be in Hawaii for 8AM. I want to be notified of them at 8AM in Hawaii, not 8AM LA time (which would be 5AM Hawaii time). If I understand you correctly, setting Time Zone Support = off is the wrong thing to do in my case? Should I turn it on?

3 hours difference is true while Pacific Time is in Daylight Saving because Hawaii does not observe DST. The test of the year Hawaii is 2 hours earlier than Pacific Time.
