Date wrong on automatic setting

Should have known it was the automatic setting on the date and time giving me issues. My phone blew up and sent out numerous certificate alerts and warnings and later other day I noticed the date was September 3rd. Anyone else have this issue or was it just me? Had to change my settings back to manual for the time being.
