New ipod shuffle no longer working.

New 5Gen shuffle, set up fine out of the box. Played fine for a day or two. Then nothing. Won't charge. Red light comes on for maybe 5 secs when I plug into computer USB and factory jack. Totally dead. Itunes does not recognize it and my computer doesn't seem to know it's plugged in. Tried rebooting my computer to make sure all my USBs were active. Tried plugging into each, no luck. Tried plugging into different computers, same. Any suggestions on a fix?
