I have a ipad mini with 6.1.3 installed and iTunes 11. I have already signed in enabling home sharing. I have home sharing enabled on my iTunes , I know because all my other devices can see it and play content from my home library. When I open the music app under "more" there should be a icon called shared, but shared icon is not there. Anybode else seen this issue?

Thank you for your response. Yes I have, but it turns out that I need to have all my devices under one apple ID. As soon as I signed in under the same ID the library was under it came up, but I have two library in my home (one on my macbook and one on my desktop PC). The library on my Mac showed up instantly but the one on my PC will not show up. So still having issues.
You only need to use the same ID in your home sharing settings, you can still use different ID's for the iTunes Store in each library.
Understood. I used the same ID on my ipad as my home sharing network but still not showing up on my IOS device. I do have my home sharing enabled on my desktop PC. Any other suggestions?

Do you mean you can see your PC library from the Mac, but not your iOS devices.

That's peculiar, so just to recap:
You have two Apple IDs. One of which you use for iTunes on the Mac and the other for iTunes on the PC, however you use only one of them for homesharing on the Mac, PC and iPad.
The Mac can be seen from both the PC and the iPad, but the PC can only be seen from the Mac.
To make things simpler we are just using one Apple ID. You are correct that the PC library can only be seen from a macbook iTunes but no IOS device can see the shared library.

Are you sure you are using home sharing and not just sharing, have you tried restarting your router yet.
I assumed I was using home sharing when I signed in under settings>music> home sharing at the bottom. Is that right? What is sharing compared to home sharing? I have restarted the router and made sure all my ports were open. I'm using a airport extreme as my router.
I meant are you sure you are using homesharing on the PC. Homesharing is set up from the File menu, sharing is set up from iTunes preferences.
i have that set up see attached. I wonder if something is wrong with the current version of ios or itunes. Well have to see if more people start encoutering this problem.
That's 'sharing', have you set up home sharing from the file menu. If your menu bar is hidden use the white/grey icon in the top left corner to reveal it.
