upgrade my macbook's ram and hd

hi all

i wanna upgrade my 2009 macbook unibody's ram and hdd from 2gb (ram) to 4 or 8 and from 160GB to either 500GB of HDD or 250 SSD.


would my laptop speed increase with such upgrade?


also where is the best source to get good quality memory?


also can i replace the battery?

Yes. Do so from Apple or a reputable vendor.



Sidenote. You may want to consider purchasing a new machine rather than investing this money in your current machine, if your budget provides. RAM + Battery + SSD will run you 400-500 dollars.
