I've recenctly purchased an Ipad mini, and have downloaded and synced 4 films to it from Itunes. However, when I try to play the films I get a message saying 'can't open'.
Any ideas anyone?

Are these purchased movies from iTunes? If so, make sure you are using the same iTunes account information on your new iPad that you purchased the movies with.
You may have to use a third-party program like the ipad video converter program. That program has presets for format that will sync to an iPod/iPhone
