Can i store apps on icloud instead of on my iphone?

I Have limited storage on my phone, so i purchased extra icloud space. The apps take up most of the phone storage so i was wondering if i can store the apps on icloud instead and just use them from there so i may free up storage space on my phone.

It seems you have not read the thread. Apps not on your iPhone are forever in the cloud, and they do not count towards your available space. You cannot "run" an app from iCloud; you need to download the app to the phone.

I think some clarification is needed here. Your purchase history is stored in iCloud, which is why you'll see a cloud icon next to apps that you own but are not currently on your device. The apps themselves, and any data stored in them, take up local device storage and not iCloud storage.

In addition to what brad has stated, I might add that you should be aware that if you delete an app and redownload it later, any info stored on the app will not be available when you reinstall the app. The info will be deleted as well.

There is no guarantee that any app, orang other content, will be available for download.

If the app is pulled from the store or the developer chooses to remove it, it may not be available for redownload.

You should keep everything on your computer and always backup your computer.

Apple stores all your App Purchases in iCloud for you, forever. This is not counted against your iCloud storage in your 5gb of data. So this is not affecting your iCloud data.
