If drained to zero percent the battery may never recharge, but this differs from battery to battery. You should need from 6-8 hours to recover a full charge if the battery is usable.

i had a 60 w charger plugged into my laptop throughout the night, and i pressed the little button on the side and there's one green light that flashes a few times and that's it. does it mean the battery is being charged? bc when i unplug the charger, it doesn't even flash.
No two batteries are identical.
I would suggest the battery needs to be replaced.
