Aug 31, 2013 9:29 AM in response to Dimhlby Tesserax,★HelpfulIt is possible that the update to 7.6.4 did not take properly. I would suggest that you try it again. If you still fail to get the appropriate download speeds, you can try downgrading the firmware to an earlier version that did.
Please check out the following Apple Support article for details.

Aug 31, 2013 4:11 PM in response to Tesseraxby Dimhl,Thank you for your input, I had a hard time getting any other firmware to install I kept getting error messages. Finally got 7.6.3 to re-install and speed has returned.

Sep 2, 2013 5:49 PM in response to Dimhlby TomK,I have a fast connection from airport extreme. But all of my 3 airport express routers, configured to extend the network, are very slow: about 1/10 to 1/5 the speed of the airport extreme: 45-50 versus 5 mbps (though it varies somewhat). There is no great distance, no major obstacles, etc. Strangely, the upload speed is faster: 8mbps vs 5. There are sometimes a handful of devices connected to the network: a few phones, an ipad, a laptop or two. B
I've tried all the solutions I've seen on these forums, including downgrading the firmware. Made no difference.
The airport express units are roughly a 1.5 years old.
