Just got brand new ipod and won't let me download from iTunes

I just bought a brand new iPod touch 5th gen and it will not let me download any music from the cloud or purchase any from iTunes I have tried a differ t Internet connection and restarted and rest network settings please help

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.4

Try

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Power off and then back on the router

- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings

- Go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and sign out and sign back in

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
