My iTunes rentals are not appearing in my Library
The files are visible (but not playable) in the iTunes Media folder, but the Rentals tab has disappeared from my Library - any ideas?

Did you download the files on some other device? Rentals can only reside on one device at a time.
Thanks for the reply. No - rentals were downloaded to my laptop and not sync'd to any other device.
Have one of the rental time limits expired -- either 30 days since you rented the movie, or 24 hours since you started viewing it?
No, downloaded an hour ago and have been unable to start viewing.
