Your Apple iCloud mail address would be used as your Apple ID. There is no charge for either. As long as you have an Internet connection you can access your email either using Apple's Mail application or via the Web at iCloud.com.

Two more questions if I may.
1- if I am sending to a non icloud account (i.e) enterprise server telus is the sent email free
2- if Imreceive an email to my icloud email from say telus or any other provider, is the received email free.
