I cannot get the Airplay Icon on my iPad2. I have done all of the recommended fixes, still no icon. Help.

Ok here what to do....... press home button 2 time quick clicks you can see below ur screen show ur apps swipe the screen right side and then u can see airplay icon(fourth button)😉

Try the following:

1. Reset the AirPlay devices

2. Reboot the router

3. Reboot the iPad

I had the same problem. I know how to do the double-click home button/swipe thing and have done it a million times, but all I was seeing at the bottom of the iPad screen was an iTunes player, with no Airplay icon. This happened after a brief power outage, which I suspect screwed up something with our wifi network. This morning I rebooted the router and rebooted the iPad. Now the Airplay icon appears again. Hope this helps.

After updating appletv and the iPAD I started looking into the router.
