Apple has a 14 day no questions asked retuern policy for full refund. Take it back and get the refund then go someplace else and buy one. Make sure it is updated version made in 2013.
Let me ask did they have 2 different prices on what looked like the same model? And you bought the lower priced version?

Go back to the store and check the floor models and see if they say Early 2013 or Late 2012
