I really wish this was the solution, but it only shows albums I purchased in 2013 - I started using iTunes in 2009 - there are hundreds and hundreds Of songs missing and I don't want to buy them again!

You can only do that within 90 days of purchase

Argh - that laptop is dead.  It before it died I thought I had put everything in the cloud.  NOPE.  I arill have the emailed recipes from iTunes proofing I bought the albums but on my iPad  and iPhone,  the only items in my purchased list are purchase from 2013 - nothing older

Just found out how to fix it.

-Click iTunes > Prefrences > Store

-Check mark the option that says "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases"

-Go to your music (which should now have a cloud icon beside it) search song(s) that have been missing.

-The songs should have a cloud icon with an arrow pointing down beside them, click that and they should download.

    That was my fix.

    Cheers

So I tried every solution listed in the replies to the original post, the only thing that PARTIALLY worked was from Jlcello (thank you!) the other songs showed up, but I had to repurchase it.

So, I am currently on hold with apple care and they've asked me to do most of the things listed in this thread as well, but none have worked. The specialist called the itunes store specialists and said it may be about ten minutes. Hopefully they'll figure something out and I'll be able to post a solution.

Nope, they weren't able to help me. They did do two things:

    1. I can re-purchase them by logging out of my account and searching for the album/song. It then gives an price instead of the ghosted out 'purchased' it said when I was logged into my account.

    2. They gave me 3 credits for my trouble.

I tried giving the rep the number or web address of this thread so they could log it as a glitch, but he said he'd log the problem now and if enough problems come in, they'd fix it. I suspect there won't be a lot of problems logged, I was only able to speak to someone because I have apple care...

    Sigh.

I had the same problem with a different album and this fixed it for me, though I had to download the songs one at a time.  Thanks.

You don't put iTunes purchases into the cloud, They are already there.

Sounds like you are using a differnt iTunesID.

I figured it out. I had the same problem. On the menu bar where it says File and Edit, click on Store and click on View Account in the drop down menu. After entering your password there should be a section called iTunes in the Cloud and under it should say Hidden Purchases. Click on the blue button next to that line that says Manage and start unhiding all your music.

         -Cheers

Yeah, MooseCabooseI tried that and every other suggestion that was given before. Didn't work. Even itunes specialists couldn't figure it out.

Sorry if this issue was resolved already. I didn't read through all 4 pages but as far as the original problem goes, the thing that worked for me was to de-authorize my iTunes account on my computer and then authorize it again. Then I was able to re-download all my old purchases.
