How can I get FCPX to use my Zoom MS decoder plug-in?

My new Zoom H6 comes with a mid-side mic. It allows you to adjust stereo field width after the fact by recording two-channel WAV with the mid and side channels in separate tracks. Then in post you use a Zoom MS decoder plug-in to adjust stereo effect.

I installed the plug-in "ZOOM MS Decoder.component" in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components. GarageBand recognizes it and uses it.

Does anybody know how to get this plug-in to work directly in FCPX?

The plug-in is a free download from here:

I installed both the Mac AU and the Mac VST (which goes in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST)

Thanks!

If it's already installed in its proper place (which it is) and you can't find it in the FCPX Audio browser, then it's not compatible with FCPX. If it is compatible with FCPX, I would expect to find it in a Zoom MS category, so check the very bottom of the Audio filter list. You can always select Audio > All and search for Zoom.

PS - there is a 64 bit Mac AU download. That's the one you need to have installed (for Logic and FCPX.)
