Why does music on my Mac sometimes skip when I play via AirPort Express if another MacBook is browsing?

Hi.

Streaming music from my MacBook Air via Airport Express works seamlessly most of the time. But when my girlfriend is sitting next to me on the couch and browsing the internet with her MacBook Pro, the sound will sometimes start skipping, as if the other Mac is interferring with my signal. Is there a way to work around this?

Wireless is a shared media.. if she is using your wireless for internet and the express is on the same network.. then only one thing can work at a time.

Is your express the dual band model. ie latest gen2.. if so you can set a different name for 5ghz.. and force one of you to use 5ghz and one to use 2.4ghz.
