Updating to Itunes 11.0.5 (Error Message)

When I went to open Itunes a received one of those pop ups that an updated version is available. I proceeded to do the update and towards the end of the process I received this error message: "Errors occured while installing the updates. If the problem persists choose Tools > Download Only and try installing manually". This has happened on several occasions now.

I am using a PC with Windows 7. My current Itunes version is 11.0.4.4

Any idea how to resolve this? Not have any issues with any other programs. I don't know how to install "manually". What if I uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled it?

Thank Yo.

Hello David,

Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to update iTunes on your computer.

To download the update manually, you can go to the following link and download the file. Once the file has downloaded, you can double click on the file to begin the installation:

iTunes 11.0.5

If you are using a 64-bit version of Windows, you will need to download the update from the following link:

iTunes 11.0.5 for Windows (64-bit)

If you continue to get an error when installing the update manually, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes using the steps in the following article:
